Storyboard
This was our initial idea for our trailer, a brief outline of the plot line for our trailer.
This is our script for our Trailer:
PROPS NEEDED FOR OUR TRAILER
A car - we use the car to show the transition of Molly going off to collage to make it very clear she is leaving home.
A suitcase: the suitcase again shows Molly taking her stuff to collage and leaving home
A note indicting Molly's new room: we use this to indicate Molly finding what room she will be staying at in collage
Bedroom items (wardrobe/clothing/bed/) : All these props are used in 'Molly and Lucy's collage room' to show the audience where they are and to make it clear this is her bedroom
Classroom items (desks/chairs/computer) : we used our schools property to film this as we needed to show a classroom environment to indicate these girls are at collage
Handbag & Photograph : This is used to show Lucy anger towards Emily as we see her face scratched out on the photograph
Mobile phone: This is used to contact Molly about what's just happened
Laptop: we used the laptop to show Emily getting on with work in her room, showing she is unaware what's about to happen
A knife: used to show Lucy attacking Emily
Hazards that we are taking into consideration when filming:
Hazards
|
How the hazards will be overcome.
|
· We are using a knife in our
trailer which could become a hazard as Jess runs at Emily with
the knife if Jess was to slip of Emily was to move at the wrong time then
Jess could accidentally cut Emily.
|
· This hazard will be
overcome by us practicing the scene before doing it so that we know where
everyone should be in this particular scene, also Jess will keep the knife
far enough from Emily that she doesn’t
|
· We
are also using a rope to tie up the 5 year old, if we tie the rope too tight
around her then we could end up giving the child rope burns.
|
· This
hazard will be overcome by us making sure the rope is slack around the child.
|
· We
were thinking of using a knife within our filming to threaten the mother with
this could become a hazard due to it being a Sharp blade and the chance that
we could drop or cut ourselves with it.
|
· We
have decided that using a knife while filming would be inappropriate
especially when a child is involved in the filming.
|
· Using
a 5 year old in our actor could become a hazard due to us filming in a busy
town they could run off at any point.
|
· This
hazard will be overcome by the child being supervised by someone at all
times.

After gaining feedback from teachers and peers we released out trailer needed titles to help with the plot line of out trailer so that the audience didn't come away from the trailer confused. Therefore I took matters into my own hands and did independent research on how to apply specific skills necessary to gain the best outcome for our trailer, e.g. how to apple titles and center them. Therefore by following steps from videos from YouTube I was able to achieve what I wanted.

Another important factor to our trailer was making sure the background sound faded out whenever our characters were speaking, therefore I had to educate myself on how to change the audio settings to meet my requirements throughout the trailer. Therefore again I used YouTube tutorials to do so.

The style in which we want our editing to be portrayed on our trailer is as close to reality as possible. We don't plan on adding any abnormal synthetic features as we want the audience to relate as close as possible to the scenes that are shown in the trailer. We knew that if we went to extreme with the editing and it wasn't repeatable or natural our audience wouldn't get the same experience or be able to relate and consume the trailer as well.

Adversiting our Film
As advertising is just as improatnt as the film itself, I looked at methods in order to market and advertise our trailer by placing our poster in different locations to attract audiences attention and to see wheither our poster would fit into different enviroments and still look effective.
